團隊將要演出的曲目包含傳統的阿根廷探戈，由1940年代的管絃樂風格所帶來的舞蹈呈現(尤其是，具有探戈樂團代表性的達里恩佐、底薩里、比亞齊、佛里塞多、普列塞等不同風格)，現代探戈的曲目則是由皮亞佐拉、以及今年剛以百歲高齡過世的薩剛的作品作為代表。
An exploration of traditional and contemporary tango, Cuarteto Tanguero’s Insomnia is a musical journey through the night of Buenos Aires. Starting at the early afternoon when people are leaving their jobs in anticipation of the night, Insomnia takes us through a journey that will explore the tango through its traditional instruments both as a ensemble and as soloists, and bring out the individual flavors of the seasons of Buenos Aires.
The group will perform repertoire that includes both traditional Argentine Tango for dance represented by arrangement of the orchestral style of the 1940 (specifically, in the Tango Orchestras styles of Juan D’Arienzo, Carlos Di Sarli, Rodolfo Biagi, Osvaldo Fresedo and Osvaldo Pugliese) and modern Tango repertoire represented by the music of Astor Piazzolla and Horácio Salgán, who will turn 100 years old in June 2016.
